
Rodney S. Markin, MD, PhD, is Professor of Pathology & Microbiology and President and Chief Executive Officer of UNMC Physicians at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. He received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from Nebraska Wesleyan University and subsequently earned a PhD in biochemistry, in 1980, from the University of Nebraska/Lincoln. His medical education was obtained at the University of Nebraska Medical Center where he received his MD degree in 1983. Dr. Markin has an interest in informatics and automation, and is a hepatic pathologist.
